There’s nothing like a good prank.
At least that’s what my college friends seemed to think. They were always up for a new or odd prank. And the receiver of these pranks were almost always the same guy. Poor, poor Chuck. He got it, and he got it bad. Freshman year the big “prank” was taking his favorite pillow all around Marquette and taking pictures with it in various places, then making a video with them. It was pretty crazy, actually. That pillow probably went more places than I’ve been!
So of course the next chance they got, Chuck got it again. This happened to be the beginning of Sophomore year. Chuck left (which you’d think he’d have learned he should never, EVER do,) which meant that something had to be done. The result was actually buying like twenty rolls of aluminum foil, and proceeding to wrap every single thing that Chuck owned with it. I’m not even kidding you. It looked like that episode of Spongebob, where Squidward goes to the future and everything is made out of chrome.
The entire day was spent with like, every member of the hall coming and going from Chuck’s room, wrapping up clothes, bed, bedside items, his marching band instrument… Yeah. That really happened. I can only imagine what Chuck’s reaction was when he walked in that night and saw what he had to look forward to–unwrapping all of his belongings. You probably could have sold that aluminum for a bit of cash. I don’t know if he did.
On a different note, another cool thing that happened that year was a week of Fairytale-themed activities, one of which was a treasure hunt that was co-orchestrated by myself and a then-friend. It was totally sweet. I came up with all the clues, and we pulled the whole the-end-at-the-beginning thing. Eh.
Sorry this isn’t much, but unfortunately I’m running out of time. We’re getting closer, guys!
