News and Announcements
Chapters 16, 17 and 18 of The Life of Gaia all now available to read!!
Yes, after a rather hefty hiatus of almost 7 months, there are now THREE new chapters up on Jukepop! Sorry about that–last year really distracted me, but I’ve been trying to spend a lot of time editing lately, especially since the upcoming chapters require a LOT more effort.. As in, I completely changed them and what happens in them, so they’re basically going to need re-written. But for the time being, I hope you enjoy having a lot more to peruse! =D
I think that pretty much says it all you guys!!! It was exhausting and insane and full of ups and downs, and maybe a little cheating by not working all on one book, BUT I DID IT. 50k words in 30 days. (50176 if you’re being exact.)
That was the challenge. It was met.
And it was GLORIOUS.
The Life of Gaia finds a home at JukePopSerials!
Read about the totally crazy news here in my latest post! Basically, my story will now be, one chapter at a time, available for the masses to read. (Well, fingers crossed that masses will read it, anyway!) Please sign up for the site, because the idea is awesome and it has a phone app, then +Vote every chapter so that I will GET MONIES! (Because honestly, who doesn’t need that?)
Thanks, and I truly hope you enjoy! ❤
The ultimate in Nanowrimo accountability!
Using a handy-dandy Nano calendar, you can see which days I did well–and which days I did not-so-well. If you’re just interested in wordcount, that’s also available. Just take a look on the right of the website! And as always, I hope that you all do well, my Nano brethren!
You may have noticed we’re looking a little different today!
In honor of all of the changes that are (hopefully!) coming with being on-track to finally finish my book, and my general inability to leave anything as-is for too long, I decided to re-vamp my website! I picked out the balloons about a year ago, and it was a really great look, but I thought highlighting the artist side of me was a good idea to help you guys get to know more about me, the writer. 🙂
I hope that you love it as much as I do, and get used to it in time!
I FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT OF Life of Gaia, YOU GUYS!!
I know, I can’t believe it either! I-I mean, I totally knew this day would come!
Anyway, as I blather on in my UTTER EXCITEMENT AND ACCOMPLISHMENT, you’re more than welcome to read the post about my crazy journey in this post: http://celestedewolfe.com/2013/10/04/life-of-gaia-first-draft-finished/
Or, well, most of my blogs… ’cause I mean, I’ve been working on this for awhile. ❤
Thanks for sticking around!!
Short Stories Updated!
I’ve posted a couple more short stories for the perusal of interested parties. They can, of course, be found here. Two are non-fiction pieces, another is a fiction piece. Sorry that they’re all a couple of years old, but I haven’t had a lot of writing classes lately, and most recently I have been working on my novel!
I’ve signed Life of Gaia Book 1 up for Revisional Doctoring with Taryn Albright!
You can find her at www.thegirlwiththegreenpen.com. She’s such a great gal, a writer herself, who also works in the industry and gives some AMAZING direction with novelists of all shapes, sizes and genres. I can’t wait to get her guidance while polishing LoG up this summer!
(And don’t worry, you’ll all be the first to hear about my journey when it happens right here on my blog/website!)
Life of Gaia hits 50k+ words!
Pretty much what it says! (Pats self on the back) My beautiful, beautiful novel reached teenager-dom over Spring Break. We’re getting there, folks!
Imminent Danger: And How to Fly Straight Into It
Is finally here!
You might recall one of my fellow WordPress bloggers, Michelle Proulx, whom I have posted about from time to time. Well, her book finally came out from iUniverse, and it is available for mass consumption wherever books are sold! (I got my e-book version from Amazon.com)
It is a delightfully fun romp through space, involving alien abductions, handsome space-pirate-princes, fluffy aliens, and a whole host of other insane shenanigans that evolve when High-Schooler Eris Miller finds herself thrown into a universe she knows nothing about… Quite literally!
But don’t just take my word for it. Read the book and find out for yourself. 🙂 You can visit her blog about it here for more information. Congrats again Michelle!
Are you looking to get your work out there? Would you like to have your writing or art published in a literary journal?
Who doesn’t? If you’re interested, please read my most recent post for details!
If you have questions, feel free to e-mail me, or comment on the post, and I’ll get to them right away. 🙂
